Compliance and Controls Accounting Manager

Working closely with the EMEA CFO and the senior leadership team in Cork, you will have the challenge of establishing the internal controls function for Europe and building a team of up to 8-10 people to support this newly established function. This is not just about knowing how to implement internal controls, it's about building and motivating a high performing team and charting their destiny" - CFO EMEA ABOUT THE ROLE Working within a 60+ finance team this opportunity will require the ability to: Create and sustain an environment that meets SOX and related regulatory requirements with the support of internal and external resources Assess the risk in existing finance processes and work with the executive and management team to remedy same Implement, design and test standard control procedures across RTR, P2P, OTC and other key business pillars Create and present reports to the Audit Committee, CFO and Regional Controllers "This role is a great stepping stone from practice - once the team is established and your successor is in place it is expected that you will move on to another senior role within the broader accounting and analysis team" - CFO EMEA ABOUT THE PERSON Ideally you will be a qualified accountant with circa 2-3 years PQE in a large structured multinational company OR be at Audit Manager level or similar with a multinational client base in a Big 4/Top 10 firm SAP experience is an advantage but not a prerequisite You will need to have the ability to manage and lead a large group of people to be successful in this role Working across all business types, but exclusively within the accounting, finance & tax community, Barden exists to share bespoke advice, guidance and support to accountants along each step of their career journey.
