Team/Function Overview

The Edinburgh Testing team sit within The Fund Accounting Change Area which is responsible for delivering new client and internal change as well as facilitating the integration of new clients into the existing operation.

The primary responsibility of the Test team is to analyse and test all internal and external change impacting the Global FA Operating Model in place to service Citi Clients. This can be small system enhancements as well a major system upgrades/implementations.

The Team work with stakeholders from our clients and across the Citi business world, including Client Delivery, Product, and Governance, to ensure that the speed and quality of client delivery is continually improving.

Role / Position Overview
  • Ensuring new systems launches and existing system upgrades deliver the required functionality to the quality expected.
  • Working with sponsors and key stakeholders to assess the risk appetite and devise a test strategy and plan.
  • Overseeing the execution of the plan and provide a go / no go recommendation to the sponsors at the end of the testing phase
  • Driving the implementation of the Test Strategy, focused on "shifting to the left"


Key Responsibilities:
  • Create test scripts to cover business requirements for process or code changes within Fund Accounting platforms
  • Daily communications with internal and Client stakeholders to understand test execution to be performed
  • Daily Test co-ordination across multiple Operational teams
  • Execute test scripts within Fund Accounting to process, Trades and run Fund NAV to generate data feeds
  • Working with Project and Programme Manager to communicate Test status
  • Update ALM with Test execution & Defects


Development Value:
  • Gain a wider knowledge of the clients' business models and Citi's end-to-end processes and the Fund Accounting Operating Model
  • Develop the individual's awareness of business risk and understanding of cost/benefit decision making
  • Working with and coordination of colleagues across multiple sites and a multi-client base


Criteria/Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience:
  • Previous experience of following and reporting on progress against test plans
  • Previous experience in fund accounting
  • Previous experience of user acceptance testing during test execution
  • Principles of quality process improvement
  • Experience using Multifonds (fund administration)


Skills:
  • An aptitude for working with systems and processes, including data input skills
  • Ability to plan and organise work
  • Ability to execute actions according to a prescribed plan of activities
  • Defining the scope of testing within the context of each delivery
  • Apply the appropriate test measurements and metrics
  • Managing testing effort
  • Meeting project deadlines
  • Coordinating teams


Qualifications:

Desirable:

  • ISTQB - Foundation Level
  • ISTQB - Test Manager Advanced Level
