Supervisor Financial Accounting (Labuan)(Contractor)



  • Responsible as a liaison person in tax related matters and government related authorities in Labuan
  • Liaison with external advisors in relation to income tax return and compliance requirements
  • Liaison with government authorities visit to Labuan office and on tax incentive application for projects or new investment
  • Responsible for the daily accounting functions, including processing invoices / receipts, preparation of payment
  • Responsible for daily expense report functions including validating, processing employees’ claims in compliance with company policies, attending emails, preparation of claim reimbursement, posting accounting entries in SAP system and record retention
  • Perform month end and year end close for both US GAAP & Local GAAP, including accruals, prepayment amortization, deposits, inter-company charge back, audit adjustment, misc journal entries, tax corrections and monthly accruals
  • Maintenance of Inter-company sub-ledger and perform bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliation for review with Site Controllers and corporate
  • Preparation of interim & year-end audit schedules
  • Responsible for maintaining the Asset Module subledger accounts and close and reporting related to fixed assets
  • Assets Master data maintenance, processing of capitalization, retirements, transfers, disposals and inter-co transfer in accordance with US GAAP, Local GAAP and AMD's policies
  • Perform monthly Fixed Assets Account reconciliation and Balance Sheet Review on Plant, Property & Equipment
  • Prepare Fixed Assets related schedule, depreciation reasonableness and analysis and project assignments
  • Supervise and manage the performance of immediate subordinates through feedback and coaching
  • Manage projects / assignments and process improvements
  • Prepare weekly / monthly / quarterly report and presentation deck for management
  • Proactively challenge the current processes and develop business process improvements
  • Act as Labuan Branch Office Manager and general administration of the branch operations



  • Accounting/Finance related working experience is preferred
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Assertive, creative and ready to work in a changing environment
  • Team player and able to work with minimum supervision and under tight deadlines
  • Assertive, creative, good interpersonal skills, highly driven and self-motivated for a fast paced evolving environment
  • Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel & Microsoft office)
  • Strong analytical skills and familiar with reporting and data analysis



  • Degree in Accountancy/ACCA or any equivalent accounting processional qualification
