Management Accountant

Working for an owner- managed business, this individual will join a small finance team to prepare the annual statutory and the management accounts for my client. This role will suit a Qualified or QBEQBE Management Accountant with prior working knowledge of an owner-managed company.

Description

Key duties of this Management Accountant role will include:

• Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts Pack

• Produce Variance analysis and commentary

• Balance sheet reconciliations incl fixed asset register

• Ensure HMRC compliance (VAT, PAYE, Tax)

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting

• Assist with Statutory Accounts and Year End Audit

• Seek out opportunities to improve process, procedures and controls

• Provide adhoc management reports

• Adhoc duties as required

Profile

This role will be responsible for the preparation and completion of annual statutory and monthly management accounts. The candidate may be fully qualified 9ICAS, ACCA, CIMA) or able to prove qualification through experience, with a strong commercial background. Ideally from an owner managed business, you will have demonstrated a strong hands-on approach within a fast paced company. Strong technical skills and advanced use of Excel are essential as is the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines. Familiarity with Sage would be an advantage.

Job Offer

My client is willing to offer a salary ranging from £35,000 - £40,000 for the successful management accountant, on top of a competitive benefits package.
