Finance Applications Management is responsible for the control, maintenance, reporting and functional development with respect to the following key financial systems among other systems:
- PeopleSoft General Ledger (v9.2)
- PeopleSoft Asset Management
- PeopleSoft Accounts Payable
- ADAC
- Essbase
In addition, FAM ensures that the aforementioned systems are functioning in terms of processing, data population, data integrity and performance as required for Financial Control, Product Control, Corporate Services, business divisions and Operations to complete their various tasks. This culminates in the role FAM perform in supporting in the region of approximately 8000 users globally.
The role requires the person to support the key financial applications under FAM in terms of functional troubleshooting, configuration, monitoring & managing day to day application processes, working with IT support for batch related functional issues etc.
The role will support global customers from APAC, EMEA and Americas for application related queries, issues, and help in business users for smooth ledger close, and other financial reporting process using the application. Key areas of work include:
- Resolution of user queries/reported application issues based on pre-defined SLAs
- Performing data integrity checks daily in system to ensure front to back data flow, and application sanity is maintained
- Working as SME on projects impacting Financial Systems
- Analysis of issues reported by users and be able to understand and work on financial outputs using spreadsheets, and relate to system processes and setups
- Provide solutions in terms of data processing, application configuration changes, and guide users to properly complete the business transactions in the application
- Run ad hoc processes, reports, queries to provide key data to various partners including users, internal and external auditors
- Understand end to end business processes related to application setups, and communicate to users on the impact of their processes to system changes
- Automate & manage application changes in terms of understanding user requirements, providing solution, setting up system, working with IT for code changes, testing, and roll out
- Ensure the changes, and production issue resolutions are properly documented and consistently maintained
- Provide inputs on process-improvements, and independently handle small to medium application changes end to end
- Lead the regional shift to manage senior business users for smooth application support

Your skills and experience To excel in this role, you should possess:- Graduate / Post Graduate in Accounting / IT / Engineering with an experience range of 6-10 years
- Minimum 4 years of Experience in implementation / support of PeopleSoft Financials
- Experience in problem solving with end users and handling senior resources
- Experience in handling support function, and producing deliverables within SLA
- Experience in managing small projects independently and ability to provide application solution to business based on functional requirements.
- Functional experience with PeopleSoft GL, AM, AR/BI, and AP modules
- Strong skill-set in PS Query, nVision, and other reporting tools
- Experience in handling complex processes/functionalities in PeopleSoft GL such as revalution, translation, consolidation, and allocation processes.
- Strong team-player with strong communication skills
- Ability to interact and communicate with middle management
- Good articulation, presentation, and documentation skills

- MBA (Finance)
- Experience in accounting (banking preferred)
- PeopleSoft certified
- Advanced Excel user
