Job Description

Outline of Role

Purpose: CIB Data Provisioning Business Analyst role within International Regulatory Projects, working as part of a team carrying out data and coverage analysis on attributions of financial products  across Global Regulatory Reporting Platforms for new Mandatory and Business driven projects and providing support to Global CIB stakeholders in relation to data sourcing activities

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

  • Good knowledge and understanding of Financial products: Loans, Deposit, Commitment, Cash
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Reference data: Fixed Income securities, Equities and Derivatives, interest rates, pricing, currency, country, regulatory, client and account data
  • A detailed understanding of the End to End Project Life Cycle including documentation, testing and implementation
  • Accounting background (beneficial but not essential)
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, and the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Good analytical skills and able to perform detailed data and coverage analysis
  • Some level of SQL database knowledge
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Business analysis skills
  • Collaborating with business users and technology partners at all levels.

Experience Must Include:

  • Experience as Business Analyst in related financial domains
  • Good understanding of the Project Lifecycle
  • Experience of Agile methodology
  • Ability to work as a team player and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Priorities & Key Outputs:

  • Documentation and delivery of Comprehensive attribution analysis results and presenting this to stakeholders across multiple project deliverables
  • Conducting gap analysis and partnering with stakeholders to deliver risk adverse client solutions
  • Carry out ad hoc investigations for financial data related queries from multiple stakeholder
  • Documentation, User Acceptance Testing and implementation for project and release management activities
  • Providing review and sign off of project business analysis requirements
  • Big Data reconciliation using Tableau and generation of summary report for presentation to stakeholders
  • Timely escalation of issues and risks to the Project Manager ensuring robust risk mitigation strategies
  • Participate in meetings ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones, following proper escalation paths and managing customer relationships
