Hours: Monday-Friday 9am -5pm
Location: Bessels Green, Sevenoaks (currently working from home)

Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join their Management Accounts Team.
The Assistant Management Accountant will support the Management Accountant(s) and provide support in all areas of the Management Accounts.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the management accountant with the management reporting requirements of the Group's UK companies.
  • Assist the group reporting accountant to ensure that the financial reporting requirements of the UK companies are met.
  • Assist with the management accountant's production of pro-forma monthly management accounts; profit and loss; balance sheet; cash flows, KPIs from trial balance level.
  • Maintenance of management accounts and control schedule spreadsheets to ensure these are kept up to date and rolled forward accurately each month.
  • Assist the Group reporting accountant with the preparation of the annual statutory accounts for all UK companies.
  • Maintain monthly control schedules for key accounts; bank; debtor; creditor; prepayments; and accruals reconciliations for UK companies.
  • Continually improve the financial operating processes and key controls across UK companies. Ad-hoc work as required by the GFC, Group reporting accountant and management accountants.
  • Monthly bank and cashbook reconciliations.
  • Help maintain the Group intercompany matrix, reconcile variances monthly and liaise with internal finance teams across the Group.
  • Establishing and developing relationships with other finance teams with the group, management, and business heads both onsite and remotely.
  • Onsite and remote liaison with operational finance functions on day-to-day accounting issues.
  • Liaise with the senior accounts team to document and improve all processes efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Liaison with the external audit team and assist with preparing annual audit files for UK companies.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
Essential Skills
  • Previous experience working in an all-round Accounts Assistant role.
  • AAT qualified
  • Strong reconciliation experience.
  • An aptitude for detailed figure work along the ability to work to a high level of accuracy and pay close attention to detail.
  • The ability to master and develop new concepts quickly, a high level of initiative as well as administrative and organisational ability.
  • Excellent IS/IT skills including experience of Sage 50 accounts and Microsoft Office, especially Excel skills including the use of advanced Excel functions.
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a dedicated team.
