We are seeking to recruit a Business Analyst who will apply in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business.

The Business Analyst will perform a key function engaging stakeholders to understand business processes and document business requirements across multiple projects in the wholesale lending credit risk processing workstream. A strong understanding of the underlying processes in Risk Management, and supporting technology architecture will be key for this role. An ability to participate in strategic discussions, and understand and analyze impacts to the Risk systems and processes will also be required.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with stakeholders and key organizations and build and manage relationships.
  • Participates in strategic discussions, working with stakeholders to ensure program scope definition meets business objectives.
  • Communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
  • Escalates the identification of risks which impact program delivery and ensure mitigation plans are executed when necessary.
  • Ensures requirements documented meet business needs as described in the program initiation documents.
  • Work with identified stakeholders in scope definition activities, understand the program/project schedule and key milestones and receive schedule status regularly.
  • Conduct user acceptance test , and covers all of the documented requirements, as well as regression tests as applicable.
  • Escalates program risks to the Project manager.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:
  • A strong understanding of Risk systems and processes.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint confident with using these skills to create senior management decks and presentation, essential.
  • Should demonstrate a commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal relationships with ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to facilitate discussions
  • Ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts / requirements and related product / functional knowledge
  • Experience of working with Agile Methodologies and Tools. Knowledge of the SDLC
  • Ability to learn/understand some technical implications of system design.


Education:
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience, Masters degree preferred
