The client is a established business based in Watford who due to their growth are seeking a Finance Team Leader to manage a group of transactional processors and ensure monthly submissions are produced with accuracy and in a timely fashion. This is a full-time and office based role - with hybrid working after 3 months probationary period.
Client Details
The client are a home building provider who have been growing since their inception a decade ago. They now seek an experienced Finance Team Leader to support the Finance Manager with the monthly processing, ensuring there is accuracy and good attention to detail. You will also take accounts to the trial balance and assist where necessary the month-end with your manager.
Description
- You will support the Finance Manager with various tasks in relation to the creation of the team on site - no two days will be the same, we'll offer you buckets of variety to hone your finance skills
- Day-to-day you will support the production of both financial and operational management reporting as required for the site, business, and customer - there will be plenty of training for areas you lack exposure
- Administration of the Purchase Order system will be a daily task, as will financial accounting activities as requested and in line with your skills and experience
- A large part of the role will be working with the central team to coordinate the resolution of queries relating to outstanding supplier invoices, authorisation and coding of purchase orders and raising requisitions
- Oversee a team of 4 transactional staff and ensure processing is to a high standard
- Reconciling the balance sheet items
- Taking accounts through to the trial balance
- Assisting the Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks
Profile
The successful candidate will live local to the client offices in Watford and be able to commute to their offices for daily work. You will be experienced in the duties listed above and be looking for a step up or new challenge.
