The role of Senior Internal Controls Accountant has arisen due to the increasing compliance requirements in respect of formalised controls within the listed entity.

Client Details

The client are a FTSE listed Retail business in Merseyside.

Description

The successful Senior Internal Controls Accountant should have;

  • Operational leadership of the UK Sox project.
  • Creation and maintenance of an accounting manual.
  • Increasing the level of documentation of formalised controls.
  • Ownership of the control environment and ensuring controls are working effectively.
  • Key liaison between finance and internal/external auditors.
  • Assistance with other finance tasks, such as payment authorisations and national statistics.
  • General support of other finance functions, including treasury.

Profile

The successful Senior Internal Controls Accountant should be;

  • Profile will be practice trained, first or second move in industry.
  • Technical / controls minded individual.
  • ACA or similar.
  • Self-starter and organised whilst also flexible.
  • Excellent communication skills .
