The Al Futtaim Group is currently seeking a tax professional to join the Finance Shared Service Centre in the capacity of a Tax Tower Senior Manager based in Dubai.

JOB PURPOSE

The Candidate’s primary role will be to support Group Tax in meeting their tax operational needs.

The successful Candidate will work closely with the Group Tax Team, Tax Community Members, Businesses, Service Providers and take ownership of Tax Record to Report processes, which includes tax compliance, tax accounting, and tax documentation for the Al-Futtaim Group in the MENA region.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Delivering a full range of agreed upon tax compliance services including tax deliverables in compliance with Laws and Regulations within the statutory timelines.
  • Managing all tax information data requests from Al Futtaim Group Tax, Divisions and Businesses, including active data collection during tax assessments within the guidelines set by Group Tax.
  • Managing the central tax data warehouse by ensuring relevant tax data is kept updated and retained in line with the Group Retention Policy.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the accounting data that is used for tax reporting and compliance purposes including performing validation and exception tests.
  • Actively optimizing tax record to report processes by developing or implementing best practices and ensuring that strong internal controls are in place to correctly record Taxes on all transactions.
  • Implement automation across the tax back office processes leading to effective controls, efficiencies and productivity improvement.
  • Reporting on KPIs and tax compliance to Group Head of Tax on a regular basis.
  • Interacting with Al Futtaim Businesses and Divisions to provide tax operational support and to understand tax needs.
  • Managing a Team of people, keeping them motivated, ensure cross training and development of skills.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

Education Qualification:

  • Chartered Accountant (or similar qualification)

Minimum Experience and Knowledge:

  • 10-12 years of similar experience, having worked in a Tax environment in a large organization, managing tax operational matters for various jurisdictions. Accounting and ERP knowledge is highly preferred.
  • GCC experience is a mandatory requirement.

Job-Specific/Technical Skills required to complete the tasks:

  • Someone with a good accounting sense, analytical skills, process oriented, be able to manage a team and comes with excellent communication, project management and presentation skills.
