Your Role

 

End to End:

  • Coordination of Purchase to  Payables (PTP) activities for the PTP subprocesses and country (countries) in scope – direct supervision and leadership of GBS KRK own team and indirect management of outside service provider team located in GBS HYD ( if applicable)

  • Perform regular reviews of PTP process metrics for their teams and direct manager focus on service performance setting priorities for their teams to follow business expectations  control the critical processes, maintain/establish the relation with business stockholders securing ongoing and transparent communication

 

Landscape:

  • Support global organizational structure and their changes acting as a one team

  • Participation in transition activities and cooperation with project management team on projects related and implemented for subprocesses/countries supported

 

Performance Management:

  • Management of AP team members delivering services to APTIV sites in EMEA Region – via supervision of daily work using key APTIV’s BPI (Business Process Improvement) principles.

  • Cooperation with Site Finance and other Aptiv Functions on process improvement

  • Leading team to achieve SLA/KPIs through daily monitoring, daily huddles, daily priorities. Ensure all metrics are maintained, reported and understood. Report process risk immediately once occurred, performing proper root cause analysis and proposing proactive changes. Reviewing weekly key process health reports (such as AP backlog with ageing, blocked items)

  • Lead the initiative to improve PTP metrics for the scope of responsibilities

  • Support PTP activities by ensuring key tools/process elements (such as Point of Contact (POC) matrix) are maintained and updated regularly 

  • Manage day to day activities and month-end closing activities

  • Maintain and develop relationships with relevant suppliers of services/systems/applications used within the SSC in support of the PTP processes

  • Review AP accounts reconciliations and supplier statement reconciliations to ensure aged items are properly followed to solution and clearing/ if appliable in the scope of responsibilities

 

Controls:

  • Ensure all Purchase to  Payables (PTP) transactions are recorded in accordance with Accounting Policies, Local and US GAAP requirements

  • Maintain strong Internal Controls and compliance with SOX requirements for the end to end PTP processes

  • Provide timely responses to Auditors as they complete various audit procedures, including but not limited to:  SOX, US GAAP, and statutory audits.  Work with Global Process Leader to define Management Action Plans when deficiencies are noted

  • Ensure processes are in place to keep information confidential, thereby protecting the  organization's value

 

Resource Management:

  • Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort.  Leading, motivating and solving daily problems by mentoring and coaching

  • Plan and organize effective team operations; ensure adequate staffing and backup support model is in place including cross training -  to meet business needs and limit support interruption due to attrition, with priority on critical processes

  • Recognize and celebrate team members’ accomplishments and exceptional performance

  • Complete employee performance appraisals as outlined by APTIV HR; focus on employee development and evaluation.  Assure that the team members have the necessary education and training to effectively participate on the team

  • Implement robust Early Warning people review to identify potential attrition

  • Identifying training needs according to position requirements

  • Identifying talents, planning adequate career paths and development strategy; participation in recruitment process

 

Knowledge Management:

  • Ensure documentation is up to date.  Standard Operation Procedures (SOP’s) review semi-annually (for those under direct team and review of those maintained by BPO provider).  Ensure procedures are maintained in line with globally defined rules

  • Work with BPO partner to resolve process questions, provide support for process improvement initiatives, recommend process change to improve efficiency including automation initiatives

 

Stakeholder Perception:

  • Review results of site survey with focus on trends and areas of opportunity for improvement

  • Perform periodic review of survey questions with analysts to ensure complete understanding of site feedback and translate to improvement opportunities

 

Financials:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate process waste

  • Interface with Budget Team and manage cost per Budget – for cost elements under direct influence of the Team Leader

 

Your Background

  • Min 3 years’ experience in PTP processes in a multicultural environment

  • Experience in leading PTP team (Accounts payable and/or Travel & Expense) teams (8+ team members) preferably in a BPO/SSC environment

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to interface and work with individuals across the global organization at all levels (including external counterparties)

  • Ability to manage issues and seek resolution, to deal with suppliers, to identify root cause and propose alternate solutions to problems

  • Strong relationship and business partnering skills

  • Very good organization and delegation skills

  • Strategic thinking

  • Proactivity and ability to take initiative, decision making

  • Good communication skills both orally and in writing

  • Good command of Microsoft Office tools: Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Sharepoint

  • Reliable and able to keep information strictly confidential

 

Nice to have

  • Strong Knowledge of SAP (ECC 6.0) Finance and Controlling functionality and Concur Travel & Expense

  • University Graduate - Education in Accounting, Finance or Economy  and working knowledge and understanding of accounting principles

  • MBA/ACCA/CIMA or strong post-graduate level studies

  • Knowledge of other language
