Client Details

Michael Page are delighted to partner with our client, a chemical cleaning manufacturer based just outside of Lichfield. The business is going through a rapid period of growth which has resulted in plans for a new site which will open within the next 6 months. This will allow the business to increase their turnover by 50% over the next 5 years.

Our client is looking for a Management Accountant with extensive standard costing experience to join their team in Lichfield. The role involves a large amount of business partnering and liaising with stakeholders. The business operates with a very lean structure which will enable the Management Accountant to have autonomy over their role.

Description

• Managing, coaching, and developing a small team
• Taking responsibility for creating, maintaining and improving the standard cost model
• Overseeing the development of the product costing system as part of our major ERP IT project to incorporate machine, production labour rates and overhead apportionment
• Maintaining costs for the purposes of stock valuation, pricing, budgeting, and forecasting
• Collating sales and cost of sales data to produce and analyse business information
• Attending internal meetings and provide considerable input to company budgets and forecasts
• Reporting and presenting P&L results, KPIs and trends to assist directors and managers in driving profits and efficiency

Profile

• 5+ years working in a management accounting role in a manufacturing environment
• Experience and full understanding of actual and standard costing with an ERP system
• 2+ years staff supervision or management
• ACMA qualification would be advantageous
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to contribute to business and process change
