Page Personnel are recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant on behalf of a leading pharmaceutical distribution business based in Salford.

The purpose of this role is to assistant in the accurate and timely production of management accounts.

Description

Assistant Management Accountant duties include:

• Coding, authorisation and posting of overhead invoices across a number of cost centres
• Accruals and prepayments preparation and reconciliation
• Bank reconciliation
• Coding and posting of employee expenses
• Monthly analysis of overhead spend versus budget
• Fixed assets: Posting of additions, processing in line with company procedure
• Improving the current finance processes and procedures, and constantly seeking efficiencies
• Processing and managing the group I.T invoices
• Assist supervisor in month end management accounts submission
• Ad hoc raising of invoices
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Treasury: Raising ad hoc urgent online payments for authorisation
• Treasury: Reviewing cash requirements on a regular basis and managing cash flows between divisional bank accounts accordingly

Profile

The successful candidate will:

• Have a proven track record in a similar role
• Be an excellent communicator - written and verbal
• Be highly organised and able to work to tight deadlines
• Be proficient with MS Office, particularly excel
• Be AAT qualified or actively studying towards ACCA / CIMA
