The main responsibility of our Accounts Assistant is to support our Finance Director with business accounting activities and being the main point of contact between the club and the outsourced accounts payable and receivable function. This includes compiling and consolidating supplier invoices, providing financial information to members, and assisting the membership team in chasing late payments. Accounts Receivable/Cash Being the go-to contact for any daily cash discrepancies, working with the operations and membership teams to resolve any queries ensuring a clean and tidy cash book.Working with our third-party accountants to ensure all revenue posted and banking is correct.Researching declined bank cards and other credit card chargebacks for justification and validity.Working with the membership team to resolve any failed payments - be it in-house F&B or membership subscription payments. Accounts PayableEnsuring suppliers reconciliations are being done by our third-party accountants in a timely manner - and assisting when necessary.Processing of all invoices by ensuring that necessary backup and approvals are obtained in accordance with company accounting and financial controls.Ensuring appropriate supporting documentation is obtained and attached to the invoices before payment is made. AdministrationEnsuring all correspondence, paperwork, and other documents are appropriately filed on a regular basis.Preparing reports as requested to develop a more informative database for improved management decision-making.Maintaining all necessary files and registers for the finance department.Maintain and reconcile the company card held by the Finance Director & Managing Director.Own the employee expenses process ensuring the correct procedure is followed and the appropriate backup is provided.Ad hoc requests as required by the senior leadership team. PERSONAL PROFILEExperience in a Finance Department within a hospitality environment (previous experience within a member's club would be ideal)Excellent communication skills and comfortable talking to colleagues, senior management, and being front of house building relationships with our members where required.A genuine passion for hospitality and hosting.Computer literate.
