Group Internal Audit (GIA) together with Credit Review, forms the third line of defence for the Bank of Ireland Group. Our purpose is to provide independent insight and opinion to key partners on the effectiveness of the Group's risk management and internal control frameworks.

Purpose of the Role:

The purpose of this role is to provide Business & Admin Support to the Heads of Audit for NFR, FR and Customer & Conduct by providing support preparing presentations, scheduling and coordinating engagement /meetings, documenting/following up/liaising with colleagues/teams in the delivery of outcomes/actions, event management and providing an office administration service. The successful candidate will work alongside the COO team and will be required to support the wider team in delivery of strategic outcomes. The successful candidate will also support the GIA Executive Assistant team for periods of annual leave etc.

Key Accountabilities

  • Proactive and professional diary management - managing changes to the diary as they occur/as required, ensuring room bookings are aligned accurately with diaries and ensuring attendees/key stakeholders are notified of meetings/changes where appropriate.
  • Management of relevant administrative tasks, including preparation of presentations/papers to support meetings, filing of relevant documentation etc.
  • Scheduling and helping to prepare for meetings; taking minutes/actions as required.
  • Transcribing notes and taking dictation; drafting presentations etc.
  • Event management, Coordinate business travel, hotel accommodation and associated logistical support including transportation. Coordinate all internal and external meetings and events as required.
  • Day to day budget /expenses management,Coordinate expense and annual leave workflows on SAP. Ensure that Visa Business Card is kept in line with bank payment policy and all expenses are recorded and approved as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with teams within GIA to manage delivery of prioritised strategic outcomes, day to day operations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support increased operational efficiency for the function across various topics.
  • Support as the need arises in the development and co-ordination of the bi-annual CE Opinion & RMA Opinion.
