The role
Grow and manage the Civil Team within Sedulo Forensic Accountants, contributing to winning new work by proactively seeking opportunities for new business and providing world-class service.
Forensic Accountant with substantial experience in writing reports for Court purposes and attending Court as an Expert witness.
Mentor and share your Forensic experience to develop trainees and newly qualified team members.
Role Objectives
- Preparation of expert reports within the civil arena with attendance at court as an expert witness if required.
- Effective management, support and development of the Civil Forensic team.
- Prepare fee quotes, developing a strategy to determine the scope of the case and the work required.
- Critically review the work of the opposing party, including attendance at joint meetings and preparation of Joint Statements.
- Attend conferences with Solicitors, Counsel, Claimants, Respondents, Clients, Government bodies.
- Build a pipeline of work for the Civil Team, through development and management of own networks and relationships as well as those referred in from the wider Sedulo group.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required
It is important that you already have experience of writing expert reports to completion.
- Extensive experience of working in as a Forensic Accountant on civil cases, ideally including significant work with corporate entities.
- Experience of managing a team with a proven track record of helping team members to develop their knowledge and skills.
- ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualified with relevant on the job experience. Microsoft office skills.
- Excellent communication skills and with a desire to work as part of a team.
- Proven business development skills and experience of bringing in work via own networks.
