The role is a really exciting Accounts Assistant role for someone that is looking to get into a company that not only is growing in size, but will also give the successful candidate the chance to progress through the company. They are a global manufacturing and distribution company that make a specific retail product for a number of well-know retail brands across the globe.
Client Details
The client are a global manufacturing company that has a number of global clients. They manufacture a very specific product and the company (having taken on a number of new clients) is growing extremely quickly. Over the next year they are looking to double their headcount and they are keen on getting in someone that is willing to grow and develop. This role will focus on one of their larger brands and you will be reporting directly into the Financial Controller. The head office is based in the West End (Paddington) and they have a hybrid working pattern.
Description
The successful Accounts Assistant will do the:
- End-to-end management of the Accounts Payable and Receivable ledgers
- Processing of the sales and purchase ledger invoices
- Weekly multi-currency (GDP, EURO, USD etc.) bank reconciliations
- Processing of the staff expenses
- Credit Card reconciliations
- Preparation and processing of the payment runs
- Assisting with the month-end process - VAT returns, accruals & prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations
- Ad hoc work
Profile
The successful Accounts Assistant will:
- Have 1-2 years of previous experience in an Accounts Assistant role
- MUST have previous experience in BOTH Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Previous experience working in a luxury retail or manufacturing finance team (desirable, not essential)
- Studying towards the AAT, ACCA or CIMA (desirable not essential)
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willing to "roll-up sleeves" and get heavily involved with a number of different tasks
