Responsible for managing custody and agency only client relationships while delivering high quality service. Accountable for the overall client satisfaction as the relationship manager by collaborating with the service team and appropriate NT resources to ensure timely delivery of high quality account service, issue resolution, effective communication of client needs to partners, and development of overall advisory relationship with client.

Duties include:

  1. Manages assigned account base of wealth management clients by working with clients and their professional advisors to develop a thorough understanding of the client’s needs and goals.
  2. Exhibits working knowledge of agency and custody account agreements and administrative requirements
  3. Exhibits general knowledge of Advisory Practice services/offerings (including estate and financial planning), capital markets, banking products/offerings, asset management and prudent investment principles.
  4. Identifies issues and planning opportunities, cross sell and referral opportunities for and introduce the appropriate experts to deliver specialized advice.
  5. Guides client conversations for life driven wealth management. Provides proactive advice to clients on NT’s products/services, emerging issues, and appropriate actions for the client.
  6. Combines technical knowledge and analysis to develop advice-driven solutions for clients.
  7. Maintains a working knowledge of various NT resources and utilizes knowledge, experience, and NT resources to identify opportunities for relationship enhancement.
  8. Oversees client servicing activities and lead in resolving problems and difficulties as they arise.
  9. Understands and complies with internal policies, processes and procedures to effect prudent risk management and judgment. Recognizes relationship risk issues and seeks appropriate resolution.
  10. Cultivates relationships with referral sources and centers of influence to build the business; identifies and develops new business opportunities.
  11. Teaches and mentors less experienced partners.
  12. Work collaboratively with internal partners and external professional advisors in identifying client needs and goals and developing advice-driven solutions for clients.
  13. Travels to meet with clients where appropriate considering revenue, new business opportunities, or servicing requirements

Knowledge/Skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • In-depth Functional/Industry knowledge of financial products and services, usually acquired through related work experience, is required.
  • Medium level of knowledge of investments, fiduciary relationships, estate planning, financial planning, capital markets, banking and operations usually acquired through formal education or related experience is required.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change
  • Technical skills / systems knowledge (e.g. Peoplesoft) is required
  • Skills in negotiating, problem solving, delegating, leadership, and sales are required

Experience Required

  • A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in asset servicing, relationship management, personal trust, investment management or related fields is required.
