1. Summary of Principal Job Responsibility:

The principle of responsibility is to perform financial functions related to the collection, accuracy, recording, analysis, and presentation of a business, organization, or company's financial operations. The Corporate Finance Manager steers the financial direction of the business and undertakes all strategic financial planning and reporting to stakeholders. The successful incumbent must have a mindset of "Continuously Reinventing Own Work Processes"

2. Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the accounting department, including but not limited to supervision of the staff, performance appraisal, resources planning, etc., and supervising the accounting team on various issues encountered during the daily work and heavily involved in problem-solving.
  • Oversee, manage, and prepare the property development and management division's companies and projects accounting records, systems, controls, and procedures to enable efficient cost accounting and reporting for analysis and budgeting purposes.
  • Liaising with business stakeholders across all levels to achieve transactional goals
  • Managing relationships with banks and other stakeholders on financing requirements
  • Maintaining abreast of the changing business landscape to identify opportunities to drive both organic and inorganic growth
  • Formulating strategic and long-term business plans
  • Apply accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
  • Use financial modeling to predict outcomes and report performance for various entities in a simple and efficient presentation to the Board
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts.
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
  • Prepare financial management reports, and ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes.
  • Prepare yearly budget/forecast, cash flow, and business plan.
  • Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
  • Develop and maintain financial databases, financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including audit, taxation, and internal control.
  • Provide investment advice, tactics, and recommendations
  • Prepare and implement tax planning and liaise with auditors and tax agents. Handling tax computation and tax estimation and ensuring compliance with all tax compliance.
  • Liaising with other external parties such as company secretary, bankers, lawyers, and government authorities on related job matters. Liaising with bankers on funding requirements.
  • Prepare and update monthly cash flow estimates and ensure effective treasury management.
  • Undertake special assignments, ad-hoc functions, and related duties as and when necessary.

Educational/Professional Qualification

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university with a major in Accounting & Finance or Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy Management, Bachelor Degree from an accredited university with major in Accounting & Finance or Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy Management, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.

Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) or/and CPA or any equivalent certification

Work Experience

At least 5 years of related working experience for medium-size or large property development, property management, or construction company with at least 5+ years of working experience in handling audit and tax matters from an established public accounting firm

Language Proficiency

English, Bahasa Malaysia & other spoken languages will be an added advantage

Personal Attributes & Other requirements

Experienced in liaising with bankers on funding requirements & project accounting.

Worked at least with 2 Listed company

Strong analytical & leadership skills and ability to work under pressure.

Able to multi-task, pro-active, result orientated, and able to interact with people at all levels.
