Commercial Management Accountant

This role is commercial in that it will have a direct impact on decision making as a result of business partnering with key stakeholders throughout the business.

Description

• Compile quotes and tenders to aid profitable commercial decisions and price setting.
• Provide commercial insight and understanding of complex business scenarios
• Provide the Departmental Managers and their teams with business analysis to aid optimum business decision making.
• Monthly financial reporting
• To work as part of the team to maintain the integrity of costs.
• Support the Commercial team and the rest of the business to analyse various aspects of performance to enable optimum business making decisions.
• Produce cost information for commercial tenders.
• Help to maintain the integrity of current costs and future quotes.
• Enhance and maintain reporting for discounts and product rebates.
• Work closely with the Sales team to administer, report and challenge quarterly sales forecasts.
• Preparation of monthly subsidiary management accounts complete with P&L's, variance analysis and commentaries
• Produce customer profitability analysis
• Appraise and influence company systems & processes with a view to improve reporting reliability and company performance.
• Maintain and develop monthly reporting & management information systems for directors and senior managers.
• Continually challenge current thinking and make recommendations on how to optimise business opportunities and minimise risk/cost to the business.
• Undertake ad-hoc commercial and financial exercises.

Profile

• PC spreadsheet skills (Advanced Excel).
• Ability to communicate with all levels within a Company.
• Knowledge of SQL (Advantageous)
• Management Accounting / Financial Analysis background
• Business Partnering
