Description

Reporting to the Finance Director, working in a team of 8, you will have full responsibility for driving the UK only payroll while working closely with the Human Resources team (inc. process documentation, execution, control dashboards)

Duties include:

  • Act as primary point of contact for all employees regarding questions related to payroll
  • Close liaison with the HR team to ensure all payroll inputs are accurate
  • Prepare and execute the payroll through the system and ensure payments are done on time
  • Prepare payroll related reports for senior management, finance department and other recipients
  • Contribute to updates on payroll related policies
  • Liaising with external payroll advisors on payroll technical matters
  • Design and run a project to evaluate the appropriateness of the payroll system and recommend which
    payroll system to use going forward
  • Process taxes and payment of employee benefits, including share options
  • Deal with all HMRC, pensions, monthly/annual submissions (P11d, PSA and ERS, etc.) and queries
  • Review annual tax reporting ensuring accuracy including, not limited to P60's

Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Good knowledge and understanding of payroll and payroll regulations
  • Proven experience as a payroll manager/analyst of running all aspects of an inhouse payroll solution
  • Understanding of share options
  • Team player
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Proven ability to work with minimal supervision but be a strong team player
  • Payroll Qualification (CIPP or equivalent) or studying towards a Payroll Qualification
  • Good understanding of UK payroll taxes
