Description
Reporting to the Finance Director, working in a team of 8, you will have full responsibility for driving the UK only payroll while working closely with the Human Resources team (inc. process documentation, execution, control dashboards)
Duties include:
- Act as primary point of contact for all employees regarding questions related to payroll
- Close liaison with the HR team to ensure all payroll inputs are accurate
- Prepare and execute the payroll through the system and ensure payments are done on time
- Prepare payroll related reports for senior management, finance department and other recipients
- Contribute to updates on payroll related policies
- Liaising with external payroll advisors on payroll technical matters
- Design and run a project to evaluate the appropriateness of the payroll system and recommend which
payroll system to use going forward - Process taxes and payment of employee benefits, including share options
- Deal with all HMRC, pensions, monthly/annual submissions (P11d, PSA and ERS, etc.) and queries
- Review annual tax reporting ensuring accuracy including, not limited to P60's
Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- Good knowledge and understanding of payroll and payroll regulations
- Proven experience as a payroll manager/analyst of running all aspects of an inhouse payroll solution
- Understanding of share options
- Team player
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
- Proven ability to work with minimal supervision but be a strong team player
- Payroll Qualification (CIPP or equivalent) or studying towards a Payroll Qualification
- Good understanding of UK payroll taxes
