Description:
Job summary
We are looking for an EU consumables supply chain and FCF finance manager! Back in 2016, Jeff Bezos singled out Consumables stating "We can't be a $400B retailer without a strong consumables business." 6 years later, the only thing that's changed is the level of our ambition (we've already surged past $400B annual sales). Whilst consumables is a critical strategic priority, there is much work to do in optimizing Amazon's supply chain capability for FMCG products. The successful candidate will play a key part in shaping the scope of this newly established role. Strategic priorities will include, but not limited to (i) reducing liquidations on consumables product across Europe, (ii) optimizing consumables supply chain for lower priced products, and (iii) driving consumables FCF (free-cash flow) initiatives. Business partners will include; senior consumables leadership, in-stock management (ISM), Amazon inventory management (AIM), and after-market services (AMS).
Key job responsibilities
A successful candidate will;
• Identify the top opportunities in the consumables supply chain and define their priorities accordingly. Has the initiative and confidence to go after the big opportunities and does not engage with the "noise". (Leadership principles; Bias for action/ Are right, a lot)
• Be an outstanding business partner. Can work collaboratively on setting clear objectives with partner teams. Is also comfortable delegating and delivering through others. Can navigate structural ambiguity, experience of delivering results in a matrix structure is a plus. (Ownership)
• Be comfortable with data. Is connected to the details, whilst understanding which metrics are needle moving. Can turn detailed understanding and analysis into actionable insights. (dive deep).
• Set clear expectations and establishes mechanisms to track performance against defined goals. Is explicit with who is responsible for what, and holds stakeholders to account. (deliver results)
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics or related subject
• Finance qualification (CIMA.ACA.ACCA) or MBA
• Significant years of experience in a Finance role
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (f.e., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos, etc.)
• Prior experience in commercial finance
• Excellent analytical skills, a passion for metrics and figures, and the ability to get into the details, while also seeing and understanding the big picture
• Innovative with a commercial mindset
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects
• Strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communication skills
• Ambitious, want to succeed and be part of a great team
