Our client is a consultancy firm primarily supporting financial and technology focused organisations. They are looking for an accountant to join their team. 5 days Office based role
About you:
  • Assisting the head of internal audit with reviewing the accuracy and completeness of monthly management accounts for various entities, including cost accruals, prepayments, accrued/deferred revenue & associated journals at the month end
  • Responsible for monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, investigating variances and explain them to the management team
  • Responsible for Revenue recognition process across multiple entities
  • Oversee intercompany process and ensure balances are cleared on a timely basis
  • Responsible to oversee fixed assets register, including additions and disposals and checking monthly end depreciation/amortisation
  • Liaising with the inhouse bookkeepers on a weekly basis to make sure accounting is carried out for all new projects, posting necessary acquisition accruals
  • Summarise complex information in regard to acquisitions and providing detailed analysis to senior management
  • Ensure government compliance in all tasks
  • Proficiency with current accounting software
  • Understanding of GAAP and IFRS
  • Oversee budget forecasting and cash flow management
  • Assist with yearend close down of multiple entities
The position would ideally suit a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or someone reaching the final stages of their studies, or has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance and 2+ years' experience in the area, with hands on experience working for a private practice with clients in hospitality (banking) industry. They have a track record of developing and maintaining working relationships across levels and departments and enjoy analysing and resolving complex issues and tasks.
