TAX ADMINISTRATOR, NONRESIDENT ALIEN TAX

The Global Client Tax Services Groupprovides tax preparation and reporting services to affluent individuals and families, foundations, endowments, estates, and corporations. This position within the NonresidentAlien (NRA) tax team will be responsible for reviewing and preparing the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and Common Reporting Standard (CRS) reporting in compliance with tax laws and regulations for banking and custody clients worldwide.

Major Duties

  1. Research, review, monitor specific reports and prepare tax products in compliance with tax laws focusing specifically on FATCA and CRS.
  2. Conduct training sessions, provide guidance to tax staff, and support audit requests.
  3. Maintain a thorough understanding of applicable tax laws and regulations.
  4. Compile the information needed to be FATCA and CRS compliant, such as assisting with review of W8s and withholding statements.
  5. Review and analyze client tax information across various systems (withholding status, Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 status, various FATCA and CRS related data points).
  6. Implementation and support of BAU processes and procedures for continuous information reporting and withholding compliance.
  7. Work on tax projects to improve current process and procedures, and lead tax related initiatives as required.
  8. Work with senior members of the team on inquiries on client's tax data and due diligence rules (e.g., Chapter 3, FATCA, CRS).
Knowledge and Skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member where accuracy and timeliness of data are critical.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft products such as Excel, Word, and Access.
  • Problem solving and data analysis skills.
  • Well organized and process oriented.
  • Ability to grasp new concepts and applications quickly.
The successful candidate will benefit from having the following competencies:
  • 1-3 years of accounting or tax experience.
  • College degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) designation preferred, but not required.
  • Project experience would be beneficial.
