GFT Finance - Senior Business Analyst and Project Manager - VP

Global Functions Technology (GFT) delivers innovative technology solutions and key global platforms for Citi's Global Functions division. These solutions enable Citi to comply with regulatory mandates and empower our businesses to achieve their goals, both current and long-term. Our products and initiatives adhere to Citi's strategic architecture and support the end-to-end integration of multiple global functions within the bank including Finance, Risk, and Controls.

The GFT Finance transformation is a multiyear initiative which will evolve Citi's Accounting landscape, consolidating disparate flows into a Central Platform, evolving our Finance ecosystem. The program spans the entire of the Citi organization with stakeholders in Finance, Operations, Technology and the Chief Data Office.

The Project manager/Lead Senior Business Analyst is a senior management-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team along with leading team of business analysts. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees all technology components of diverse, moderately complex IT projects, including project planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality and cost.
• Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met.
• Communicates with end-users to provide timely and accurate information and status updates.
• Evaluates subordinates' performance and makes decisions on pay increases, hiring, terminations and other personnel actions.
• Applies in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.
• Provide direction and leadership on complex, high-impact projects and in all phases of the development and implementation process, ensuring essential procedures are followed

• Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated and unique situations and contribute to formulation of standards and strategies for own area and other functional areas
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and team members.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Significant Business Analysis / Project Management experience across the full project lifecycle using Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Proven delivery record of multiple projects involving process change and technology enhancements.
• Understanding of regulatory constraints and experience in delivering regulatory projects is extremely desirable
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Proven ability of using complex analytical, interpretive and problem-solving techniques, to synthesize and present complex information to stakeholders of various levels
• Stakeholder management across multiple geographies and functions, as well as demonstrated ability to build a strong collaborative relationships that culminate in a delivery track record
• Experience and/or understanding of regulations and dealing with regulators is a plus
• You should have a strong sense of financial soundness and demonstrate a reasonable understanding of budgeting, forecasting and expense management.
• You should have experience building and managing diverse, inclusive, high performing teams and keep them engaged and motivated

Qualifications:

• Experience of Accounting and/or Ledger implementations and Corporate Finance organization and ideally experience of working on a Finance transformation program
• Working knowledge of Oracle Financials/ERP, OFSA, Sub-Ledger, Data Model and Accounting Hub
• Working knowledge of few of the Corporate/Retail banking products and events lifecycle
• 10-13 years of experience in finance or investment banking
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

• Highly proficient in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Jira and Confluence
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
