The opportunity
The Business Analyst's role is to confer with the stakeholders to understand, document, analyze and manage the requirements for the construction and testing of IT solutions. This includes interviewing stakeholders, gathering & compiling user requirements, recommending milestones and deliverables to meet the requests of the business. The Business Analyst facilitates the development process and confirms with supervisor that project deliverables are met according to specifications.
This role of Business Analyst requires methodical investigation, analysis, review and documentation of all or part of a business in terms of business functions and processes to document the requirements to be delivered.
The BA will manage the requirements development process through the elicitation, analysis, specification & verification of multiple levels of requirements (Business, Stakeholder, Solution & Transition) and support the ongoing management of the requirements through design, development, test and implementation.
The Business analyst will be required to create viable and consumable specifications including acceptance criteria in preparation for the construction and testing of solutions.
Our primary focus areas include solutions in Microsoft technologies, Data analytics and advanced digital solutions for various functions.

Your key responsibilities
• Follow the project strategy to elicit and document requirements
• Follow the procedures on how the requirements will be managed (i.e., base lining requirements, requirements, change control and requirements traceability).
• Manage and negotiate with difficult and opinionated stakeholders with regular supervision during elicitation sessions and during the development life cycle.
• Develop understanding of Analysis and overall Process Re-engineering including business process modelling, capability gap assessment, and definition of solution approach and scope.
• Development and deployment of formal business analysis methods and tools to govern and control programs at a Proficient level in accordance with firm standards.
• Work in close collaboration with other teams including solution architects, development, testing and deployment

Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have

• Three to 4 - 8 years of experience in a corporate IT environment.
• One to three years' experience in business analysis or related technical field (application development, technical product owner, deployment/implementation and infrastructure).
• Experience in selecting and executing elicitation techniques such as Interviews or Exploratory Prototypes
• Experience in Facilitated Workshops, Focus Groups, Observation, User Task Analysis, Documentation Study and Surveys
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills - must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing.
• Extensive experience in one or more domains
• Solid understanding of the following requirements models: Stakeholder Categories, Actor Tables, Glossary, Context Diagram, Data Model, Class Model, Data Dictionary, Event Response Tables, State Diagrams, Business Rules, Decision Tables, Process Maps, Use Cases, and Activity Diagrams

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
Able to work under minimal supervision selecting the appropriate methods to elicit and document requirements and adjusting approach to suit location and role of stakeholders who will include service owners, support teams, technical and project leads from the programme and the vendor.
Follow the project strategy to elicit and document requirements.
Defining the procedures on how the requirements will be managed (i.e. base lining requirements, requirements change control and requirements traceability)
Selecting the appropriate analysis and specification models and ensuring that requirements are of high quality
Assessing change requests related to requirements to assess overall impact

Ideally, you'll also have
• Exposure to Agile Methodologies and Azure DevOps.
• Certified Business Analysis Professional preferred
