Your role
Are you a sharp evaluator of risk? Can you investigate complex situations and propose solutions? Do you have specific experience auditing US financial and regulatory reporting?
We're looking for a Group Finance Audit Manager who can:
• lead and drive, or work as a team member on audits
• analyze and assess risk arising from the Group Finance function
• identify and evaluate the effectiveness of controls designed to address those risks
• prepare audit reports and present audit findings to UBS management
• review remediation actions submitted by Group Finance for closure to assess whether these have addressed the original risks
• adopt an agile mindset, to further agile ways of working and promote early delivery of business value
Your team
You will be working in the Group Internal Audit team. GIA's role, as an independent function, is to support UBS in achieving its strategic, operational, financial and compliance objectives. We do this by assessing key processes as well as governance, risk management and the control environment within all business divisions and Corporate Center functions globally. We are independent in our work and report directly to the Chairman of the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee.

Your expertise
• a university degree, and ideally a professional qualification such as CPA, CIA, ACA, ACCA et al
• ideally 10 + years of experience in audit, finance, compliance, internal risk management or similar areas within the financial services industry
• a detailed understanding of US financial reporting, tax and/or regulatory reporting risks, and the related audit methodology for such areas
• risk focused, and capable of using various techniques including data analytics to derive meaningful insights into business and control issues
• strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to present audit findings to management
• strong analytical skills and willingness to keep up with industry, regulatory developments and learn new concepts and methods
• reliable when working independently, able to time manage and prioritize workload, with sound judgment for when to escalate issues
• able to lead and influence teams to deliver high quality work while remaining engaged and enthused and a proven track record in delivering multiple audits in a given year to a high standard and within required timeframes
• familiarity with agile ways of working is preferred but not essential
