Role
Manages sell-side and buy-side M&A engagements and project teams. Contributes to building and maintaining client relationships and business development opportunities. Contributes to building high performing teams by recruiting, developing, and motivating team members.
Responsibilities:
Execution of buy-side and sell-side M&A engagements
- Coordinates planning, documentation and acceptance of engagement in due time
- Manages proper planning of delivery of the engagement (budget, team allocation, content review, deliverables, project timetable, client interaction/meetings, project closing)
- Leads the M&A process and provides guidance to junior staff during the various phases of the process: information gathering, materials preparation, management meetings
- Liaises with EY professionals from other service lines and other advisors in the process (tax, legal, valuation, financial diligence) and ensures proper communication with the client
- Follows up on engagement status with the Engagement Partner regularly and coordinates on critical engagement matters: transaction structure, investors feedback, commercial aspects of the SPA and SHA
- Leads multidisciplinary/cross border engagements
- Monitors team utilization and project timetable
Go-to-Market & Client relationship management
- Acts as primary contact for client or target
- Develops relationships with clients; actively develops and maintains ongoing relationships with client peers
- Sets client meetings/calls
- Leads the design and development of proposals/pitches, market/industry screening analyses
- Coordinates multi-SL/SSLs and cross-border input into a pitch
- Records client interaction, engagements in Interaction tool, sales, and pursuit report
- Participates to marketing and client networking events, conferences
- Plays a key role in supporting management execute the sector focused go-to-market strategy
- Responsible for deal origination in the local market and supporting international corridor pursuits
Building high performing teams
- Coordinates performance of allocated counselee (feedback report and communication, performance evaluation and input)
- Identifies development needs and supports counselee with development planning
- Offers on-the job coaching or any other support required by counselee
- Participates in recruitment process for open positions
Requirements:
- University degree
- Required qualifications/certifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Big4 corporate finance or investment banking in a similar role
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills and ability to grasp commercial issues
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to analyze financial data and forecasts
- Ability to drive and manage complex projects, strong project management skills
- Attention to details, structured approach
- Problem solving, proactive and self-starter attitude
- Creativity, adaptability
- Very good command of English, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work in cross-functional and multicultural teams
- Capacity to work against tight deadlines and under pressure
