The Professional Services finance team are seeking to appoint a management accountant - qualified or finalist - to be part of our busy team of 7 accountants and 6 accountancy support staff. This team looks after the finances all of the non- academic areas of the University, ranging from Halls of Residences and Estates, to IT and HR and student careers and wellbeing.
The prime responsibility of the post will be to act as the main point of contact for the financial management of all accounts relating to the commercial areas of Halls of Residences, the Sport and Nursery provision. This will involve carrying out a range of professional accountancy tasks to assist in planning, forecasting, monitoring and year end process to assist the Service Directors to maintain budgetary control.
You will be well organised, with excellent analytical, numeracy and communication skills and capable of effectively managing a wide range of simultaneous activities. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and can prioritise their work in order to meet deadlines in a busy environment. Good communication, IT and customer service skills are essential to the role.
The successful candidate will be line-managing 1 member of staff.
