The role

What will you be doing?
We are looking for a part-qualified financial accountant to join our busy Finance Team. We will give you lots of opportunities to learn, develop financial knowledge, business acumen and leadership skills whilst supporting you as you study towards a relevant financial accreditation (ACCA, CIMA).

What will you bring?

Principal duties and responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly financial reports and undertake cost centre reviews for business areas.
  • Analysis of accounts and give indications of any issues/inaccuracies.
  • Review processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • All rotations will be based in the Unum UK head office, Dorking UK.
  • Build knowledge of our products, services and business processes.
  • Develop effective relationships across the business.


Required knowledge and skills:
  • Some experience in an accountancy environment and a genuine desire to study towards an accountancy qualification.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent levels of verbal and written communication at all times.
  • Ability to work under pressure, managing own time to meet tight deadlines and managing competing and conflicting demands within your workload.
  • Motivated, enthusiastic and enquiring.
