Trainee Accountant

Liebherr have been manufacturing cranes in their Killarney facility since 1958 and today Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd designs, manufactures and installs a complete range of rail-mounted ship-to-shore cranes, container stacking cranes, rubber tyre gantry cranes and straddle carriers. Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd. is now responsible within the Liebherr group for the worldwide marketing, design, manufacture, delivery, erection and servicing of rail mounted quayside container cranes and container stacking cranes.

The Role

Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd. Have an opening for a Trainee Accountant. The role will be based on-site in Killarney. 

Key Elements of the Role

Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for accounts payable – integrated invoices, Matching, coding and processing of Supplier invoices
• Investigation and resolution of supplier queries
• Monthly creditor's reconciliation for monthly financial statements
• Assist with year end audit.
• Assist with special projects as assigned
• Exposure to internal auditing
• Intrastat preparation
• Process Expense Claim Forms
• Progress to Monthly Journals and Month End Reporting
• General office administration duties
• Reporting to Accounts Manager

Qualifications & Experience

• Accounting, Finance or Business-related degree 
• Fully committed to pursuing a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, ,ACA)
• Highly accurate and fine attention to detail essential
• Strong analytical skills
• Motivated, flexible individual who can work closely with other finance team members and build relationships across functions
• Ability to work under pressure and take full responsibility for their duties
• A good manner is essential & excellent written and verbal communication skill
• Ability to work effectively to deadlines
• Intermediate or Advance in MS Excel
