We are a small not for profit organisations receiving 3 funding streams with 5.8 EFT staffing.

The position duties are:

  • Use MYOB to manage the LLEN's finance records and as per government reporting and categories
  • Reconcile monthly bank statements
  • Record and input all City LLEN transaction in MYOB, maintaining the General Ledger
  • Accurately determine and prepare BAS, IAS, FBT, Work Summaries and any other ATO documentation and communicate this information to the Executive Officer
  • Liaise with the ATO via the BAS Portal as needed
  • Accurately determine net wages, superannuation, leave loading, record annual leave and any other leave taken per staff member and prepare fortnightly payslips
  • Prepare financial documents required for annual audit and answer questions asked by the auditor
  • Prepare end of month finance statements as per Government requirements - the financial reports should include the Operating Statement (including budget), Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement, Payments summary, Receipts summary and monthly general journal report
  • Provide finance advice and any other reporting functions as requested by the Committee of Management (Board) or Executive Officer
  • Check payment records, BPAY, invoices and credit card expenditure records
  • Check that all finance transactions are carried out following the organisations governance rules.

Employment Conditions

The successful applicant can become an employee of the LLEN or sub-contract their services to us. The hourly rate is between $75 - $85 an hour depending on skills and experience. Typically the amount of work per month is around 16 hours or one day a fortnight depending on the time of the year.

We are located in the Melbourne CBD, candidates are welcome to work from home or in the LLEN office.
