Role Summary

The Client Onboarding team manages large and complex new business implementations for clients. As part of the project team, the lead’s assigned to a client onboarding have involvement in the sales and due diligence process, educates and trains clients on operational models, services procedures and product capabilities and is a main interface between clients, vendors and internal parties for integration and preparation for new business being brought live onto the Northern Trust architecture.

This particular role is specific to the Australian Investment Accounting (AIA) product in order to support new client onboarding to the product as a subject matter expert for Northern Trust. As the Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for onboarding clients to Unit Pricing and clients for monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual financial reporting, regulatory reporting and tax reporting across a diverse range of investment manager and superannuation fund clients.

About You
  • Technical understanding and practical application of accounting and tax concepts as they relate to Managed Investment Schemes (MIS’s) and Superannuation funds
  • Ability to carry out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact
  • Strategic in developing, implementing and administering solutions within functional areas
  • Operates independently and has in-depth knowledge of business unit/specific area of expertise with strong knowledge in other areas
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact with stakeholders at various levels
  • Project focused and able to present, facilitate discussions and reach decisions
  • Understanding of unit pricing and unit registry concepts
  • Demonstrated understanding of the application of Australian Accounting Standards as they relate to MIS’s and Superannuation funds, and the different assets they invest in
  • Strong excel skills and the proficiency in utilizing financial statements and tax reporting system tools
