Description:

This role is to be the Graphics and Communications financial controller within the Procurement Finance team reporting to the Sr Director of Procurement finance. As part of this role, you will partner with the operations team to ensure that we are planning for any upcoming cost changes from Dell’s vendor base. By learning about upcoming cost changes, you will put together detailed financial analysis of the cost impacts and communicate the underlying business drivers. You will also work closely with Dell’s cost accounting team to perform monthly/quarterly closing activities.

Additionally, you will have be responsible for being the team lead of a Finance Develop Program team member that will work with you. This includes working with them on a day to day basis, providing development feedback and assisting in the 2x per month selection process for new FDP candidates.

Responsibilities Include:

• Maintaining a strong business partnership with the procurement team
• Owning planning process for AOP and Outlooks relating to inflation/deflation of the commodity
• Accumulating data for inclusion in the Mgt Representation Letter (MRL)
• Controllership activities to drive successful business results
• Coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet deliverables and resolve issues
• Regular alignment with FP&A to providing bridges and business drivers for outlooks and EOQ results

Preferred Candidate Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of finance experience
• Ability to work with large amounts of data and summarize/draw conclusions
• Excellent financial/business acumen
• Attention to detail and drive for results
• Advanced working experience with Excel and PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of cost accounting preferable
• Deep understanding of Dell’s procurement operations is highly desirable
