As part of the Finance Business Partnering team for the Currency Business Unit, this role will be responsible for providing financial support to the above business unit. Specifically providing accurate and timely management information and financial analysis to assist in business wide decision making.

Description

  • Support to the Currency Business Unit to help deliver value.
  • Responsbile for providing weekly reporting of key performance indicators (sales and gross profit, production volumes, recovery, headcount and scrap) against Budget and Target.
  • Accountable for compiling and providing overhead reports and analysis including investigation of key variances against Budget/Forecast. Reviewing performance with budget holders.
  • Executing the monthly reporting of cost per standard hour for key stakeholders
  • Proactively supporting the Sales Team by providing financial appraisal of customer enquiries, completing product cost estimates, assessing financial risks and the financial return expected from the proposed pricing.
  • Weekly review of production recovery by product.
  • Act as the Finance lead at Operations Metrics meetings as required, presenting key performance indicators.
  • Initiating cost builds for new products and reviewing against original cost estimates. Highlighting issues with New Product Introduction team and ensuring that any errors are raised and corrected before product is released.
  • Completing monthly general ledger journals for provisions including carriage, quarantined and slow moving stocks. This includes reconciliation of specific general ledger accounts.
  • Send letter summarising scrap sale proceeds to HMT every month.

Profile

  • Good knowledge of Excel is essential.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment desirable.
  • Educated to Degree level or AAT equivalent. Experience working within a similar role is essential.
