Accounts Executive
Demeanour, Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required

Major Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintaining, reviewing, verifying and issuing credit notes as requested by branch; and ensuring they provide sufficient information.
- Preparing and reviewing accounts receivable aging report with respective branch.
- Highlighting the risk of doubtful debts, non-payment, customers with delayed payment.
- Ensuring temporary receipt submitted by respective branch is complete without errors.
- Ensuring the posting to the account receivable module is accurate and timely.
- Reviewing the data entry in the cash book module and monthly bank reconciliation for all accounts.
- Verifying the bank statements and resolving the problems found or questions raised.
- Maintaining and ensuring the integrity of cash balances and cash flow systems.
- Coordinating the year-end audit, planning the schedules and preparing documents for external auditors.
- Assisting to liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out.
- Maintaining and filing documents.
- Assisting in the financial month-end or year-end closing activities.
- Assisting to visit branches and in audit activities like stock count.
- Undertaking any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior and/or Company.
Qualifications and Skills Required
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- Possess at least a Degree in Accounting or equivalent professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA/CPA), preferably with at least 2 years related working experience and member of MIA.
- Preference will be given to those with a good financial understanding, the ability to handle full set of accounts and knowledge of corporate tax.
- Knowledge of SYSPRO system is an added advantage.
- Have a flare for numbers, good problem-solving, analytical and numerical abilities are crucial.
- Keep abreast of changes in regulation and legislation of government and industry development.
- Growth mindset, able to learn and adapt quickly.
- Firm but courteous, ethical and with integrity.
- Able to work well with people, aggressively anticipate impacts of workload/issues to team deadlines and have a very positive work attitude including willing to work some longer hours during peak periods.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and also as a team player where frequent collaboration across functional teams is necessary.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are essential, and able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees in the organization.
- Computer literate, proficient with Microsoft Office, other relevant software and applications.
- Primarily in an office environment and based in Alor Gajah, Melaka.
- Expected to travel when needed to the branches.
