Accounts Payable Officer

The Accounts Payable Officer is a key member of the transactional Finance team, assisting in the day to day processing of operational transactions and investigating variances for the service business based in Australia.

Description

• Process invoices to accounting system in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts payable data
• Establish and set up new supplier accounts as required
• Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients' billing issues or escalate.
• Ensure that correct authorisation procedures are followed.
• Reconcile monthly supplier statements
• Enter month end accounts payable entries into Technology One system.
• Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts payable status.
• Suggest and assist with improvements to current processes. This includes the process of recording, tracking and matching purchase orders and invoices.
• Other duties as reasonably required.
