What is the role?
We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Finance Assistant within our Newcastle office to assist the Finance Manager in managing and processing various accounts, transactions and tasks.
Key elements of the role will be:
Invoice Processing
- Update Invoice Spreadsheets
- Enter invoices onto Sage Accounting System
- Print, send, and follow up on customer invoices and statements
- Collate and ensure purchase invoices are appropriately approved
- Prepare payment run
Practice systems
- Enter disbursement invoices onto client system
- Complete certain client administration functions on the system
- Assist in reporting requirements on the system
- Provide some assistance to credit control team as required
Accounts
- Assist in some balance sheet reconciliation work
General
- Manage Finance Inbox and forward emails onto relevant people
- Attend finance department and company-wide meetings
- Report any troubling discoveries or suspicion of wrongdoing to the proper authorities
- Adhere to the company's or organisation's financial policies and procedures
- Answers questions and provide assistance to partners and external and clients as needed
