JOB SUMMARY

Working closely with TA Operations, the role of the TA Outsourcing Team is to implement and oversee the outsourcing oversight framework that supports the TA global operating model; ensuring adherence to prescribed outsourcing regulations, monitoring performance against agreed SLA deliverables and promoting a partnership approach with our TA outsourcing service providers.

A TA Outsourcing Team Senior Associate is required to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of relevant oversight and outsourcing requirements alongside a broad understanding of related TA activities.

Effective implementation of day to day responsibilities pertinent to the governance of outsourcing service providers is expected with an emphasis on TA objectives and the implementation of the SSFSIL outsourcing oversight framework for existing and new relationships.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Drive the implementation of the various Outsourcing Framework components for all TA operational activities outsourced by SSFSIL to outsourcing service providers
  • Ensure all operational Service Level Agreements, TA outsourcing procedures and roles & responsibilities are reviewed annually or earlier if a material change to operational activities occurs
  • Maintain governance arrangements with the outsourcing service providers, ensuring any escalated issues are resolved quickly and effectively within agreed timescales
  • Act as a point of escalation for oversight matters and manage issues to resolution, in line with the internal escalation protocols
  • Responsible for the achievement of specific department performance objectives
  • Attend and contribute to operational, client, risk, audit and regulatory meetings as required, and actively contribute to TA-wide initiatives and focus groups

EXPERIENCE and KNOWLEDGE

Essential

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience within a financial services or banking environment
  • Broad understanding of the funds industry, e.g. transfer agency, fund accounting, custody etc.

Desirable

  • Experience in vendor management or management of outsourcing service providers
  • Good understanding of the Central Bank of Ireland Investment Firms regulations and oversight requirements
  • Experience in reviewing processes, assessing risks and defining controls
  • Experience of completing due diligence, audit reports or monitoring & testing reviews
