General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of and review of annual financial statements
- Accounts preparation work to include balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation of the management accounts
- Deliver of financial statements in line with agreed deadlines and ability to follow checklists, procedures and process requirements
- Assist with the preparation of year end audits
- Assist with year end close out and year end journals
- Preparation of company and personal tax returns
- Completing statutory returns
- Liaising with clients
- Assisting manager on special client assignments
Technical Expertise:
- CCH Accounts Production
- Microsoft Suite
- Excel (Intermediate/Advanced preferable)
- Sage Line 50 (most common client accounting system)
Candidate Qualities
- Part Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA
- Minimum 2 plus years general accounting practice experience
- Results orientated
- Ability to communicate at a high level
- Excellent technical abilities
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to perform a hands-on role
- Excellent communication, customer care and people management skills
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Audit experience a distinct advantage
