Auditor (Based in Kulim/Penang)

Basic Job Functions :

Responsible for successfully conducting financial, compliance and operational audits, providing independent and objective assurance.
Provide consulting services and tangible insights / recommendations to improve the operations of the organization.
Independently plans, executes, documents, and summarizes audit results.
Communicate with various levels of business process owners and key associates throughout the organization.
Lead meetings with clients (Directors and below) effectively communicating audit results.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

Develops and executes risk-based audit programs.
Prepares high quality workpapers that support audit conclusions.
Completes assignments independently and on time.
Communicates engagement process, status and results to IA leadership, internal clients, in both verbal and written formats.
Maintains professional and effective working relationships within the organization.
Works collaboratively with the audit team and key stakeholders.
Supports business in efforts to develop effective solutions to mitigate risk exposure and improve operating efficiencies for Management.
Performs other duties and special projects as requested by the Audit Committee and Senior Management.
Critically assesses adequacy of corrective actions proposed by process owners, collaborating with the process owners to identify the most adequate solution.
Team player who contributes to the development of fellow auditors.
Understands and adheres to the Company's practices, policies, and culture.
Travel as needed, no more than 15%.
Discharges responsibilities in a manner that is consistent with The Institute of Internal Auditors' Code of Ethics, International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and Statement of Responsibilities.

Experience:

3 (three) years of prior audit experience, with Internal Audit department, public accounting, or consulting firm.
Solid understanding of and direct experience with Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Education:

Bachelor's degree, preferably in a business related field is required.
Pursuing applicable professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, and/or CISA) or other related certifications (e.g., MBA, CFE, etc.) is desired.

Strong ability to use tools to support audit work, including technical research on common matters data analysis, benchmarking, and business research tools.
Delivers very good work product, requiring minimal rework (form and substance), including the ability to prepare written documents (i.e., work papers, PowerPoint presentations, audit reports, etc.) that clearly lay out key messages.
Able to lead meetings with clients (Directors and below) effectively communicating audit results.
Able to listen contrary positions and to work through resolution of points of divergency.
Fluency in written and spoken English required.
