Background on the Team

As part of the Fixed Income Division, the team is responsible for onboarding and management of entitlements for external clients to a variety of third party platforms and internal platforms/applications related to Electronic Trading. The team covers Asia, EMEA and North America hours supporting Fixed Income and Equity markets, and is functionally split based on the area of work.

Primary Responsibilities

The candidate will work closely with the rest of the team but is expected to be comfortable to lead tasks independently, including the following:

  • Assist with trading limits for electronic trading, i.e., setting of trading limits and defining appropriate limit structure governance
  • Improve and monitor existing control frameworks for electronic trading platforms/applications or architect new controls if none exist. Critical assessment of systems architecture development as it relates to market impact, market access, fat finger risks, etc.
  • Assist with MiFID II PTT RTS2 reporting requirements, ensure eligible transactions are STPed. Identify exceptions and perform root cause analysis.
  • Liaise with Strats, Technology, Trading, Risk Management, Legal and Compliance on a number of applicable eTrading deliverables and initiatives.
  • Advise on eTrading regulatory enquiries and exchange audits. Provide subject matter expertise and direction as it relates to interpretation and understanding of trading, regulatory and trading venue rules.
Qualifications

Skills required (essential)

  • Post Graduate with a First Class or above throughout
  • 4+ years’ experience in electronic trading risk management, limits governance, market data referencing or similar background
  • Strong working knowledge of financial products including Fixed Income and Derivatives
  • Excellent English and verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with ability to work in global environment
  • Strong MS-Excel knowledge such as the ability to perform data analysis and create Macros a plus
  • Ability to clearly articulate objectives, requirements, risks and issues
  • Effective time management, relationship management, negotiation and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to multitask and prioritize
  • Strong attention to details
  • Ability to work independently and to drive projects to completion, while proactively ensuring project teams and relevant stakeholders are kept up to date and expectations properly managed
