Basel Measurement & Reporting is a group-wide function involving production and reporting of regulatory capital, large exposures and leverage ratio calculations across business areas and legal entities. The team is accountable for handling and reporting Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) for Pillar 1 and Pillar 3 to regulators. In addition the team is also responsible for reporting RWAs for internal management purposes as well.
The role entails have an opportunity to be a subject matter expert on Basel regulatory norms as adopted by FINMA (the Swiss regulator) in respect to RWAs and support key reporting deliverables for Pillar 1 and Pillar 3 for Credit Suisse Group and its other entities. This role will also support internal reporting to various key partner groups. The role will require production and preparation of various key regulatory and internal management reports used by the business teams and senior management based out of the Americas. In addition, performing in-depth analysis on Group RWA results and corresponding variance analysis to support Americas regional business, capital management teams, risk teams and various other key partners throughout the firm. The role requires expert knowledge on capital reporting including understanding of capital calculation engines and processes. The role provides an excellent platform to manage production and reporting processes, key partner management, problem-solving, decision making and creative thinking. In specific you will also be encouraged to:
- Produce and finalize the daily and monthly Group and Parent RWA Reporting across different products and divisions of the bank focusing largely on the investment banking business within North America.
- Proactively collaborate closely with key business contacts on the RWA impact of their respective portfolios and communicate their divisional performance in comparison to business limits set. Present FINMA RWA summary to regional senior management on a periodic basis along with relevant variance analysis.
- Lead and support the self-assessment exercise to ensure reported RWA & capital numbers are as per prescribed regulatory mentorship, and to proactively work towards closure of any identified compliance gaps.
- Participate in ongoing process improvements, optimization and rationalization efforts related to MIS & regulatory RWA reporting. Participate, design and own multiple control assessments and ensure controls are appropriately detailed
- Support internal and external regulatory reviews and ad hoc queries from senior management or front office
- Actively and independently collaborate closely with external and internal auditors. Proactively participates in self-assessment programs
- Display the ability to understand risk calculation engines and reporting systems, lead UAT and production testing for all improvements to the capital reporting infrastructure
- Partner with key collaborators and develop key relationships with front office teams. Coordinate across BMR product teams to analyze and provide commentary for business variances to senior management
- Collaborate closely with the regulatory assurance teams and keep up to date with regulatory developments related to capital adequacy norms. Apply a deep understanding of regulatory guidelines and main measurements to resolve their potential impact on RWA numbers and regulatory reports.

We are looking for applicants who possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA and/or MBA a plus) along with an equivalent experience of 1-3 years in the financial industry preferably within an accounting, controlling, regulatory-compliance, risk management, or related function in the financial industry.
- Understanding of financial products from an accounting, product control and/or regulatory treatment perspective
- Phenomenal analytical skills in financial and business analysis experience
- Advanced MS Excel skills required, analyzing large data sets
- Focused with ability to multi task, good problem-solving skills, and the aim to work towards challenging timelines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in key partner management, including excellent communication skills, and are used to manage conflict situations with calm and strategically maneuver through difficult negotiations
