In this role you'll be offered a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced administrative role within a major Financial Services company.

As the Gesban Pensions Fund Assistance responsibilities will include completing financial transactions such as payments, and internal transfers associated with the Santander Common Fund and Santander UK, reconciliation of monthly Fund manager statements, cost and income transactions, sectionalisation, and the preparation of Quarterly VAT returns.

The difference you'll make.

  • Raising Common Fund Pension payment instructions, pre advice and internal transfers ensuring service level agreements are adhered to, authorisation is appropriate and in a timely manner
  • Updating and maintaining the Common Fund cashbook, reconciling income and expenditure to Bank of New York daily cash statements, and ensuring the sectionalisation of cash movements is reported accurately
  • Reporting monthly to the Fund manager unaudited working day 2 asset valuations, the formal manager valuations and Bank of New York valuations providing commentary and further analysis where appropriate
  • Compiling Quarterly VAT return - information relating to pensions payments made during the prior quarter and forwarding to the Santander Group Tax team
  • Interfacing with internal and external auditors
  • Testing of S-ox and EUC controls

What you'll bring.

  • Strong organisation and communication skills regarding administrative tasks within financial sector
  • Strong skills in MS Excel

It would also be nice for you to have.

  • Administration experience
  • Experience of financial services and accounting for Pensions
  • Ability to manage work around strict deadlines
  • Knowledge of accounting software i.e. Walker

What else you need to know.

Hybrid working pattern with one day minimum working from Milton Keynes office.
