We’re recruiting for a commercially focused Finance Business Partner to join our Offer & Sourcing (O&S) Finance team in Southampton, with hybrid working. You’ll act as a trusted business partner to members of the O&S Leadership team and their teams, leading the finance activities, interpreting and presenting financial information whilst providing value add support and challenge. You will also have up to two direct reports in the role.

Responsibilities in the role:

  • Business Partner an O&S Category Director and their teams
  • Own the analysis process of existing and potential range profitability to support Own Exclusive Brand (OEB) range design
  • Work with the retail banners (B&Q, Screwfix, Castorama, Brico Depot, Koctas) to ensure alignment on category and group targets
  • Effectively present analysis, financial performance results and insights to Category Directors
  • Lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for your category
  • Work with the category and product teams to understand product cost price and offer recommendations on selling price to deliver required profitability

Experience required:

  • Qualified accountant – CIMA/ACA/ACCA
  • Finance business partner, commercial finance, or business performance experience, ideally in a retail or FMCG company
  • Have a big picture view to understand and identify key business issues whilst being able to operate at a micro level to analyse data and see the impact of change
  • Ability to pro-actively develop positive and highly effective working relationships, engaging key senior colleagues to achieve desired outcomes
  • Business planning and forecasting experience
  • Investment appraisal and business case development experience
