A highly successful accountancy practice based in Bridgwater is searching for a qualified AAT, ACCA part or experienced only, Senior Accountant to join the firm as a key addition with increasing responsibility and career development on offer, as part of this growing team.

Based in Bridgwater this highly regarded firm has developed a strong reputation servicing a wide ranging client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited company, OMB and SME clients, very varied in sectors and turnovers up into the £millions. The partners and managers within this successful team are looking for a hands on, experienced technically competent senior, in a role offering increasing responsibility and development for the right addition.

Description

Joining as a Senior Accountant based in Bridgwater you will have a hands on role with the preparation of accounts from start to review stages, overseeing wider bookkeeping, VAT, tax and general practice service provision to a varied client base along side this. Therefore, a hands on, technical accounting background preparing accounts, bookkeeping, vat and tax for clients ranging in size from small sole traders, partnerships and limited companies below the audit threshold in turnover is of key interest.

You will be responsible for the following:
Preparing financial statements for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
Tax computations.
Bookkeeping services.
Dealing with the preparation and completion of quarterly VAT returns.

You will also enjoy building relationships, interested in a client facing role and the chance for increasing responsibility and involvement, as you develop, within the firm and role.

Profile

For this Senior Accountant role you may be AAT/ACCA qualified, or will be suitably experienced only with experience developed within the accountancy practice sector, with at least three years experience in this specific sector, or significantly more, having developed this experience within any of a small, medium or large accountancy firm, practice environment.
You will have hands on experience in particular on accounts preparation from start to review stages and any of tax, Vat and wider bookkeeping skills alongside this.
You will be looking to further your career where you will progress and develop in your accounting career.

Job Offer
