Description of business unit

The role sits within the Group Performance Reporting function, which is responsible for the production, insight & analysis of the Group's regulatory, statutory, management and operational reporting. The Credit & UK Operational Reporting teams are responsible for the support and maintenance of existing reporting processes as well as development of new reporting while driving operational efficiency, improved quality and insights through rationalization, standardization and automation of the reporting stock.

Purpose of the Role

The Credit Reporting and Analytics Manager is a technical role involving working with large sets of data and utilising a variety of tools (e.g. SAS, SQL, Tableau,) to interrogate the different data sources to build meaningful MI for internal and external customers.

The role holder will take a lead role in supporting business performance through deployment of regular MI reporting and enhancing current processes to deliver operational efficiencies as well as supporting Strategic Group data and reporting projects.

The Credit Reporting and Analytics Manager position affords a high level of exposure to a wide variety of stakeholders across the Group at all levels, with regular engagement with Heads of Credit and data project teams across the group.

Key Accountabilities

  • Timely production and delivery of MI reporting as agreed with stakeholders;
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities for process improvement;
  • Develop quality and collaborative relationships with stakeholders through communication initiatives;
  • Leads and develops their 2 direct reports.
  • Leads team workload and prioritisation of tasks
  • Accountable for maintaining a strong risk management approach to the team's work

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Programming knowledge (e.g. SAS, SQL, Python, R, Teradata...)
  • Proven record in creating reports using MS Office, or other reporting tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI ...)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements.
  • Ability to handle contending priorities and deliver within demanding timeframes.
  • Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Self-motivated with good attention to detail and a creative problem solver.
  • Capable to work under a high pressure environment in order to meet deadlines.
  • People Management Skills: lead, mentor and develop a team of technical and professional staff.
  • Foster the appropriate Risk Culture and live the Group values
