Area: Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex
Contract Type: Part time, (flexible working hours/part home working).
Grade: Grade 5 to 6 (subject to qualifications and experience)
Salary: £18,057- £23,132 (pro rata £30,095 - £38,553) (Subject to qualifications and experience)
Hours of work: 3 days (22.2hrs) per week, additional hours subject to flexible requirements
Working pattern: Flexible, weekdays (between 08:00 to 18:00)

The Sussex IFCA has a wide range of duties including the management of the exploitation of sea fisheries resources and the conservation of the marine environment within its seaward District.
The IFCA is funded by East Sussex County Council, West Sussex County Council and Brighton and Hove City Council.
The Authority is looking to appoint an experienced and qualified individual to undertake and manage the Authority’s accounting and broader financial needs. This is a sole charge role. The individual will manage, monitor and maintain all budgetary and financial information and processes including managing contracted payroll, HMRC, VAT, banking, receipts and payments.
A detailed knowledge of GAAP is required together with Sage 50 to run the financial needs of a small organisation. Experience in the production and presentation of financial reports to a governing board or committee is required.
With oversight and support from Chief Officer & the Authority’s Finance Committee the individual would be responsible for undertaking the Authority’s accounting needs. Developing, implementing and maintaining appropriate financial policies and procedures across the Authority.
The successful candidate would be working in a small team of professionals committed to sustainable inshore marine fisheries and conservation.
