Fund Manager Compliance Consultant

Wonderful opportunity to join a global wealth client as a Fund Manager Compliance Consultant

The primary purpose of the role is to implement & maintain the compliance oversight program of third-party investment managers appointed to manage my clients funds together with leading the investment operational and fund compliance relationship. The role holder will also take responsibility for supporting regulatory change impacting those fund managers and is expected to support the wider fund regulatory compliance & investment operations functions to ensure that matters are analysed and managed compliantly.

Key Responsibilities of the Job:

Implement & maintain the program to oversee the operational and regulatory compliance of the full range of third-party investment managers

Embed the oversight program within the core Investment Division systems & datahubs and leverage them to enhance the monitoring program

Maintain and enhance the suite of monthly checks and controls over fund managers

Maintain key Fund Manager oversight compliance policies

Support regulatory change insofar as it impacts fund managers

Maintain and enhance the Relationship management program with third party IMA investment managers

Implement and maintain oversight, control and management of queries received from the Unit Trust Trustee and investment managers

To be considered you will have:

A good understanding of the regulatory environment relating to compliance of investment funds - across all relevant jurisdictions including the UK, Ireland, Hong Kong & Singapore

A good understanding of compliance & operations within an investment management environment

A good understanding of permitted investments (inc. derivatives)

A good understanding of effective control & oversight practices

Preferably studying for or attained professional qualification
